What you can delete
This page explains how to delete from Originl the data we obtained from your Instagram account, and the rest of your account data. Deletion is free and you don't need to give a reason. What we do with Instagram data is described in the Privacy Policy, section "Instagram data (Meta)".
From Originl
To stop sharing your Instagram: in the dashboard, open the profile and click "Disconnect Instagram". Posting stops immediately and the authorization (token), ID, profile picture and follower count are deleted, in Originl and in the video engine.
To delete everything: in Settings, under Account, click "Delete account". Your profiles, videos, variants, statistics and Instagram data are deleted after a 14-day grace period. Before that you can download a copy of your data from the same place.
From Instagram
In the Instagram app or website, go to Settings, Apps and websites, choose Originl and remove it. Instagram notifies us and at that moment we stop posting to your account and delete the authorization.
If you also ask Meta to delete the data Originl obtained from your account, Meta tells us and we delete everything we obtained from your account: your Instagram username, the authorization, ID, profile picture, follower count, the reels we imported as a base (with the variants made from them), the link, ID and statistics of your posts and the temporary cache of your account. Videos you uploaded yourself do not come from Instagram and stay until you delete your account. Meta shows you a confirmation code and a link where you can check the status of your request.
By email
Write to legal@getoriginl.com from your Originl account email, or tell us your Instagram username, and ask for deletion. Through this channel we also delete, if you ask, the videos you picked from Instagram and their variants. We confirm in writing when it is done, within 30 days at most.
What is kept
Invoices, for the period tax law requires; aggregated, anonymous statistics that cannot identify anyone; and a non-reversible fingerprint of the Instagram account ID, with no token or profile data, to stop free trials from being chained. Reason: fraud prevention (legitimate interest). Period: as long as the free trial exists; there is no fixed period yet, and this reason and period are pending review by legal counsel. Backups are deleted automatically after 30 days.
